Meet Ian Nenke
At Camp@RAS we know that to create an enriching and engaging educational experience for our campers, we have to provide the perfect balance between learning and fun. So at Camp@RAS, while our campers have the opportunity to learn from our highly experienced and qualified international teachers, they also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture, sample the culinary delights of Malaysia, explore the hidden treasures of Johor, participate in after school sports and activities, and visit local theme parks. All of these combined lead to memorable experiences that your child will have for the rest of their life.
About Our Camp:
Raffles American School is one of Malaysia’s top international schools, located in the Southern State of Johor on the border of Singapore. The aim of the camp is to allow students to experience life at RAS and to participate in an intensive English language program that will build upon their current level of English. Class sizes average about 10-15 students per class to ensure individual attention is given to each student. During the camp, students will also have the opportunity to experience extra-curricular activities offered at RAS such as sports, music and arts, as well as excursions on the weekends. Students can enjoy living on campus at our state-of-the-art boarding facilities where activities are planned during the evenings. While in boarding, all students will be cared for by our dedicated and professional boarding staff, and all meals and snacks will be prepared by our school chef to ensure that we only serve a balanced diet of fresh, nutritious foods.
Our teachers are fully qualified English Language Learning (ELL) specialists. Each class will have an average occupancy of 10-15 students. Camp students will also have the opportunity to mix and mingle with our current enrolled students for the genuine international school experience offered at RAS
Two courses shall be offered:
Novice: Students who speak very little or no English.
Intermediate: Students who possess the ability to hold basic English coversation and possess basic writing skills.
